On October 16, 1991, Hennard drove his 1987 Ford Ranger pickup truck through the front window of a Luby's Cafeteria at 1705 East Central Texas Expressway in Killeen, yelled “This is what Bell County has done to me!”, then opened fire on the restaurant's patrons and staff with a Glock 17 pistol and later a Ruger P89. About 80 people were in the restaurant at the time. He stalked, shot, and killed 23 people and wounded another 20 before committing suicide. During the shooting, he approached Suzanna Gratia Hupp and her parents. Hupp had actually brought a handgun to the Luby's Cafeteria that day, but had left it in her vehicle due to the laws in force at the time, forbidding citizens from carrying firearms. According to her later testimony in favor of Missouri's HB-1720 bill[1] and in general, after she realized that her firearm was not in her purse, but “a hundred feet away in [her] car”, her father charged at Hennard in an attempt to subdue him, only to be gunned down; a short time later, her mother was also shot and killed. (Hupp later expressed regret for abiding by the law in question by leaving her firearm in her car, rather than keeping it on her person. One patron, Tommy Vaughn, threw himself through a plate-glass window to allow others to escape. Hennard allowed a mother and her four-year-old child to leave. Michigan police are on the hunt to find missing stay-at-home mom Amy Henslee. The 30-year-old mother of two vanished from her home Monday, leaving behind her purse. Her husband, James Henslee last saw his wife when he kissed her goodbye as he headed to work.

Both boys, say officials, were left home alone for hours on Monday, October 19th, 2009 while their mother, Melanie Dunn, ran errands and went shopping for clothes. The fire started around 3 pm at 1242 Effie near Elliston in South Memphis. Investigators with the Memphis Fire Department says most of the fire damage is in the rear of the house where the bedrooms are located. Neighbors like Posey Piggie watched in shock as firefighters carried the boys' tiny, lifeless bodies out of the house. “One of the little babies,” she says, “looked real, you know, real limp like.” While fire investigators tried to figure out what started the fire, the boys' aunt, Marilyn Watson, stunned reporters at the scene by admitting that she and Dunn left the boys at home by themselves, not once, but twice on Monday. “We had left them this morning,” says Watson, “and I had went to the food stamp office. We got back and everything was all right. Missing our wife and mother…Sarah Rogers, 29 December 13, 2009 Sarah Rogers fled her home in New Hampshire in a serious manic state. Her car found abandoned on I95 in Maine after she drove in circles through toll plaza's in confusion. Sarah suffers from Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder.
