Video courtesy: MrFr0zak www.youtube.com US Park Police officer used an electronic stun gun on an Occupy DC protester. Police say he was tearing down fliers warning protesters about the ban on camping in McPherson Square. Police also said the unidentified man was charged with disorderly conduct. The arrest took place shortly after noon Sunday. It is reported that after the incident the man had a seizure, and was then refused medical treatment. A park police spokesman said the man became “aggressive and confrontational'' when officers tried to arrest him and that is why the stun gun was used. www.nma.tv Super Bowl XLVI pits the New York Giants against the New England Patriots in a rematch of Super Bowl XLII, when the wild-card Giants stunned the previously undefeated Patriots in one of the biggest upsets in sports history. The Giants entered Super Bowl XLII as 12-point underdogs against the Patriots, the first team to post a perfect regular-season record since the 1972 Miami Dolphins. But Eli Manning out-dueled Tom Brady and became the first quarterback to throw two go-ahead touchdowns in the 4th quarter of a Super Bowl. This year the teams are more evenly matched, with the Patriots opening as 3.5-point favorites. New York has been on a roll, having won six of its last seven regular season and playoff games after starting the season 6-6. New England cruised to a 13-3 regular season record behind quarterback Tom Brady and the second-best passing offense in the NFL. The Super Bowl is on Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

What has President Obama done? Visit: www.mcnaughtonart.com Against the background of a darkening sky, all of the past Presidents of the United States gather before the White House, as if to commemorate some great event. In the left hand corner of the painting sits a man. That man, with his head bowed appears distraught and hopeless as he contemplates his future. Some of the past Presidents try to console him while looking in the direction of the modern Presidents as if to say, “What have you done?” Many of these modern Presidents, seemingly oblivious to anything other than themselves, appear to be congratulating each other on their great accomplishments. In front of the man, paper trash is blowing in the wind. Crumpled dollar bills, legislative documents, and, like a whisper—the US Constitution beneath the foot of Barack Obama. Don Cornelius, called the conductor of the hippest train in America, was found dead from a single gunshot wound at his southern California home. At 75, the apparent suicide on Wednesday of the showman with an impeccable sense of cool and of-the-moment style brings an end to the life of a man who helped break down colour barriers in a nation where race has played such a prominent role throughout its history. In an industry dominated by white businessmen, his Soul Train Saturday afternoon programme featuring the latest R&B, disco, and funk easily stood out from the crowd. The show, which would go on to become the longest-running syndicated television programme in US history, featured some of the biggest names in music. From a young Michael Jackson to Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Marvin Gaye, Soul Train saw the most influential names in music rock its colourful stage from the 1970s through to the 1990s.
