Eight baseball games, eight different ballparks, eight days. We would have seen eight home-team wins, but the Missoula Osprey blew the ninth-inning lead in the trip opener. Brett Myers nearly stuck it to his old team on opening day. Myers outdueled Roy Halladay and turned a two-run lead over to the bullpen, only to see the Philadelphia Phillies rally for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning Friday to beat the Houston Astros 5-4. John Mayberry Jr. lined an RBI single off closer Brandon Lyon that capped that comeback and spoiled Myers’ outing.

'I just cost that kid a perfect game' he stated after the game ended.
