The major stock market indexes are pulling back slightly ahead of the open. The S&P 500 Index e-mini futures (ES Z1) are trading lower by 3.25 points to 1252.50 per contract. This morning, the US Labor Department reported the non-farm payroll report for October. The report stated that 80000 new jobs were added. The reaction to the report was very minimal. This report is really a non-event if you ask me. The real driving force behind the stock market is the US Dollar Index. When the US Dollar Index declines the stock market indexes will inflate and trade higher. The opposite is true when the US Dollar Index rallies higher, the major stock indexes around the world will deflate and trade lower. Traders and investors can forget Europe, the job report, and anything else when it comes to the markets, the US Dollar moves the markets and that is really the bottom line.
