Much anticipated thriller featuring a stellar cast including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, John Hurt Toby Jones, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch and Kathy Burke. Directed by Tomas Alfredson (“Let The Right One In”) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a Working Title production for STUDIOCANAL. Set in the 1970s, TINKER, TAILOR, SOLDIER, SPY finds George Smiley (Gary Oldman), a recently retired MI6 agent, doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service. However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of the Circus, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage. Tasked with investigating which of his trusted former colleagues has chosen to betray him and their country, Smiley narrows his search to four suspects – all experienced, urbane, successful agents – but past histories, rivalries and friendships make it far from easy to pinpoint the man who is eating away at the heart of the British establishment. The screenplay is by Peter Straughan and Bridget O'Connor and the film, which was shot in London, Budapest and Istanbul is produced by Working Title's co-chairmen Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner and Robyn Slovo. The executive producers are Debra Hayward, Liza Chasin, Douglas Urbanski, Peter Morgan, Olivier Courson, Ron Halpern and John le Carr

Southern charm and powdered sugar may be gaining entry to the time-tested pantheon of color-coded cookies. Marking the 100th anniversary of their organization, the Girl Scouts have announced a new cookie: the Savannah Smiles. It?sa crumbly lemon confection dusted with sugar and inspired by the home of Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low. But can it hang with the hits like the Thin Mint and the Samoa? We?ll know after the hoards of Girl Scouts and parents start sending cookie orders to the country?s mothership bakeries that produce them. Let?s hope the Smiles don?t go the way of 2010?s Lemon Chalet Cr?me, which was discontinued after reports it smelled and tasted terrible.

Kim Jong Il is dead www.thehalsreport.com Kim Jong Il, the leader of North Korea has died. He was 69. He died on a train trip, a tearful state television announcer dressed in black, reported Monday. It is believed Kim Jong Il suffered a stroke in 2008 but appeared healthy recently in photos and video from recent trips to China and Russia. Kim Jong Il was groomed for over 20 years to lead the communist nation of North Korea which was founded by his father. News is now coming out of North Korea claiming there may be a behind-the-scenes power struggle or nuclear instability following Kim Jung Ills death. Since the country is isolated from the outside world, there is not much known about the man known as the “Dear Leader.” Soviet records indicate he was born in Siberia in 1941. Kim Jong Il, a graduate of Pyongyang's Kim Il Sung University, was 33 when his father anointed him his eventual successor. Kim Jong Il took over in 1994 after his father died. He carried on his fathers tradition of “military first,” devoting much of the country's scarce resources to its troops. During this time, millions of North Korean citizens starved. It is reported that North Korea has been unable to feed its own people and is desperate for aid. The news of Kim Jong Ils death will bring some fears to the region concerning the countries stability and nuclear arsenol. This is a developing story, stay tuned for news updates.

New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov playing in a charity basketball game to raise money to support the victims of the Bulgaria boat sinking. Prokhorov saying: “What makes a person different from an animal? The fact that (a person) can be involved in events like this. And events like this unite people, help us to survive our common tragedies, so the more events like this there are, the better it will be for our country. It leads to recovery, it leads to our becoming kinder to people, and for our country that's very important.”
