www.mahalo.com Conservative FOX news commentator Glenn Beck has launched a new news and opinion website called The Blaze. The website went live on August 31, 2010. In a message posted on the website, Beck says The Blaze will cover “breaking news, original reporting, insightful opinions and engaging videos about the stories that matter most.” On the official website, information states that The Blaze's goal is to “post, report and analyze stories of interest on a wide range of topics from politics and culture to faith and family.” Among the stories posted on the first day: a story about the redecoration of the White House Oval Office, coverage of the proposed mosque at Ground Zero in New York City and coverage of a bedbugs resurgence in the US According to Glenn Beck, the website was put up in about two months. Scott Baker is the editor of The Blaze. He previously worked for conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart. In an exclusive statement to the blog Mediaite, Beck said “I look forward to keeping Scott and his team busy by sending countless ideas at 3am every morning.” The Blaze features stories, a blog and a news wire, along with a few ads here and there. Why the name “The Blaze?” Beck says the name conjures up images of a flame, which he says “has long stood for a burning truth.” More News from Mahalo.com: Dancing With The Stars Cast: www.youtube.com iRenew Bracelet: www.youtube.com Hunger Games: www.youtube.com Emmy Awards: www.youtube.com Stephen Strasburg: www
