RI observes Veterans Day

The country observes Veterans Day- honoring those who have fought for the nation. Several local ceremonies are set to take place across the area today. A wreath-laying is scheduled for this morning at the Burnside Building in Bristol, followed by a ceremony at the Rhode Island Veteran's Home. North Kingstown holds a Veterans' Day parade beginning at 10:00 this morning, and at noon, a wreath will be cast at Battleship Cove in Fall River. All local, state and federal offices are closed today …
